Originally a solo music project for Darren Purvis in the mid 1990's.
Germinal evolved in Plymouth, Newport and Cardiff South Wales UK from 1994 - 2010 - Once hailed as ‘One of the Revelations of 2006’ following the release of the album ‘From Hibernation.’
Darren Purvis worked with Rob Road producer/drummer and developed the early Germinal sound with the addition of musicians: Chris Mildren, Matthew Baynham and Andrew Hardy. The dark alternative grouping signed to HTT in 2000. 'From Hibernation' had global distribution through 'Plastic Head Distribution' and sold out of all CD Albums, with the song 'Skin' (the video featuring short film 'The Remote' by Darren Purvis.) being featured regularly on local radio and the previously alive BBC XFM station.
